We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished academic to lead our Mining Engineering program under its 5-Year Plan. The successful candidate will possess expertise in mine design and planning, with a focus on critical minerals, including metalliferous mining.

As a high-performing academic, you will teach core mining engineering subjects, including surface and underground mining, ventilation, mineral processing, and mine design. You will also lead high-impact, industry-relevant research and play a key leadership role in transforming our Mining Engineering program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of teaching and research excellence, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to provide strong leadership and vision for the future of our Mining Engineering program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Mining Engineering program under its 5-Year Plan.
  • Teach core mining engineering subjects, including surface and underground mining, ventilation, mineral processing, and mine design.
  • Conduct high-impact, industry-relevant research and publish findings in top-tier journals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior academics and research staff.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of teaching and research excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership and vision for the future of our Mining Engineering program.
