Bunnings is seeking a skilled Driver Trainer to join our team. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the best delivery experience by providing specialized training, assessment, and coaching for drivers across operations, systems, induction, Chain of Responsibility, and road safety compliance obligations.
You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as transport providers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with agreements. Your passion for road safety and continuous improvement will ensure that we are constantly striving to deliver the best experience.
Key Responsibilities- Coach, mentor, train, and assess drivers to a high level of competency aligned to our Bunnings customer service approach, providing feedback and searching for opportunities to improve driver training, knowledge, quality, and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with agreements.
- Actively promote and drive communication with drivers, cascading business and operational requirements as needed.
- Previous experience in a similar position as a Driver Trainer or Assessor where you have had a focus on improving driver performance.
- Hold a Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential).
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle transport regulations, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), and Chain of Responsibility.
- Strong commitment and understanding of WHS regulations.
- Experience in road transport operations (last mile deliveries).
- Your own vehicle to utilize as part of the role (vehicle allowance provided).
