About the role
Known internally as a Driver Performance Manager, you will provide specialised training, assessment and coaching for drivers across operations, systems, induction, Chain of Responsibility, and road safety compliance obligations.
You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the best delivery experience, through monitoring customer satisfaction feedback and driver on road behaviours in line with compliance expectations and legislative requirements.
This role can be based from our Support Office in WA (Rivervale) or SA (Unley), however, will require regular travel to our stores, trade centres and DC as required across the state.
What's involved:
- Coach, mentor, train and assess drivers to a high level of competency aligned to our Bunnings customer service approach, providing feedback and searching for opportunities to improve driver training, knowledge, quality and efficiency
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as transport providers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with agreements
- Actively promote and drive communication with drivers, cascading business and operational requirements as needed
Who we’re looking for
You will be a natural communicator who is able to build effective relationships quickly and work with a range of stakeholders at varying levels. You will bring a strong understanding of the transport and supply chain industry, with a practical knowledge across multiple vehicle types.
Your passion for road safety and continuous improvement will ensure that we are constantly striving to deliver the best experience. You will have a love for coaching and mentoring and supporting people to be their best. You will be able to translate training information to a broad range of learners through different mediums ensuring content is easily understood and able to be implemented.
You’ll need:
- Previous experience in a similar position as a Driver Trainer or Assessor where you have had a focus on improving driver performance
- Hold a Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle transport regulations, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility
- Strong commitment and understanding of WHS regulations
- Experience in road transport operations (last mile deliveries)
- Your own vehicle to utilise as part of the role (vehicle allowance provided)
