Job Overview

Thornton Engineering is a fully Australian-owned and operated business with over 30 years of experience in the fabrication of medium and heavy structural steel, plate work, and process equipment.

The company has high growth expectations and a long pipeline of contracted work, making it an exciting time to join their team.

They are seeking machine operators to operate CNC plate profilers, saw cutting and drilling machines. Key responsibilities include operating equipment, loading and unloading of infeed and outfeed beds, performing tolerance checks, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

On-the-job training on Thornton Engineering's equipment will be provided for all positions. Prior experience is not required; however, basic mechanical understanding, entry-level computer skills, a positive work ethic, and a passion for steel fabrication are expected.

Desirable skills and qualifications include Dogman, Forklift, Crane licenses, skilled operation of power tools, and current valid driver's licenses.
