About the Role

Hudson Australia is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on solution design best practices and leading technical designs in adherence to reference solutions and enterprise architecture guiding principles.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the strategic direction and planning of underpinning technologies to enable modern capabilities.
  • Champion the underpinning technologies and enablement of ICT platforms and service capabilities to foster service adoption and enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior technical partners.
  • Participate in resource allocation to deliver services and projects.
  • Lead the technical design and configuration of platforms and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor the effective operation of platforms and services.
  • Lead the development and adoption of technical patterns for reliable and consistent solution delivery.
  • Provide advice and consultation to support ICT operations processes and ICT vendor performance processes during escalations.
  • Participate in ICT risk management to identify operational and technology risks.
  • Participate in the financial management of platforms, services budgets, and projects.
  • Autonomously deliver smaller technical projects and be responsible for managing the planning, design, build, and implementation of the project to align with the business needs of the organization.
Requirements
  • Our client has a broad tech stack, including Microsoft plus a variety of software, hardware, and applications. Microsoft 365 or Infrastructure & Networking experience is highly desirable.
  • Infrastructure & Platform Solution Design experience is desirable.
  • MS 365 experience on the application side is highly regarded.
  • Technical Lead with architecture design and implementation experience is highly regarded.
  • Azure or other cloud experience is highly desirable.
  • An established Solution Designer with a willingness to continue learning new skills and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to play a role in a cross-functional team.
