Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Konnecting. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing Level 2 and 3 computer and network support and customer service on IT issues.



About the Role



  • This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum.
  • The successful candidate will have tertiary education and/or 3+ years of service desk experience.
  • They will have outstanding customer service skills, written, oral and in person, as well as a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Experience in managing and supporting users, devices, applications and peripherals across Microsoft Active Directory and Windows environments is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and business applications in a corporate environment is also required.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience managing networks, routing, firewalls, and IT service management applications.
  • A full, unrestricted driver's license and a car to travel to sites as required is necessary.


Key Responsibilities



  • Providing Level 2 and 3 computer and network support and customer service on IT issues.
  • Managing our 180-site network with Cisco Meraki and Velocloud technology.
  • Designing, developing and implementing the required configurations to ensure network connectivity and security is in place.
  • Managing and architecting complex Azure infrastructure solutions to ensure business needs are met.
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Performing Level 3 Network troubleshooting tasks as escalated by the team.
  • Replacing faulty network devices and hardware components as required.
  • Maintaining and managing our Microsoft solution stack and office 365 environments.
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Working with our 2500 network users about solving existing system problems.
  • Coordinating computer network access and use.
  • Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
  • Providing telephone, face-to-face and onsite technical support to users regarding IT issues.
  • Following agreed procedures, responding to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems.
  • Ensuring all hardware/software fulfilment, installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to SLAs and to agreed expectations.
  • Participating in ongoing team training.
  • Maintaining awareness, understanding and compliance with Company policies and procedures, including the completion of mandatory training.
  • Performing other reasonable and relevant activities as requested from time to time to meet operational requirements.


Selection Criteria



  • Tertiary education and/or 3+ years of service desk experience.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, written, oral and in person.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting users, devices, applications and peripherals across Microsoft Active Directory and Windows environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and business applications in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing and supporting mobile, telephony, collaboration and audio visual technologies in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing networks, routing, firewalls.
  • Experience with IT service management applications and managing service requests, problem and change management processes.
  • Full, unrestricted driver's license and a car to travel to sites as required.
