Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a key member of staff to lead the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development and learning.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment with the support of Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator
  • Ensure children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program, and Educators facilitate and extend each child's learning and development;
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff and all internal and external stakeholders;
  • Make recommendations for improvements to educators' educational programs and practices;
  • Mentor and support educators understanding of the educational program and practice including how to reflect on the effectiveness of their programs, interactions, intentional teaching and other strategies;
  • Ensure compliance with policy;
  • Undertake administrative requirements;
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education. They will have had sound experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting and possess a comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework.

A strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, they will be able to coach and mentor others, and have a comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning. They will also have a demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning and working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Degree required: Diploma in Children's Services

Experience required: 3+ years in Early Childhood Education and Care
