Plant Mechanic Role

The primary function of this position is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all types of earthmoving and mining equipment.

This involves conducting regular inspections, carrying out repairs, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and Caterpillar products
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues related to hydraulic systems, engines, and transmission
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to achieve project goals and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Operations or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Extensive knowledge of Caterpillar products and hydraulic system diagnostics
