Process Technician Job Description

The Process Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our fixed plant and monitoring equipment in preservation state. This includes operating fixed plant safely and efficiently, monitoring and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting process issues, sampling, conducting daily inspections, and reporting on plant status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate fixed plant processes including acid, neutralized water recovery, and fuel oil with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment in preservation state to prevent damage or downtime.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and manage risks to the plant.
  • Sample and conduct daily inspections to report on plant status.
  • Monitor and operate control systems (DCS / PLC).

Requirements:

  • Sound mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a process technician.
  • Experience with isolation and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Desirable certifications include Forklift, Bobcat, Excavator, Working at Heights, and Confined Space.
  • Current WA driver's license.
