About the Role

The Royal Women's Hospital is seeking a skilled Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative Service team. As a Theatre Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient-focused, evidence-based care for women and babies and their families in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff in preparing the operating theatre for surgery
  • Support medical and nursing staff in transferring and positioning patients
  • Provide transportation of patients within and outside the operating suite
  • Assist with duties required at the completion of each operation or procedure
  • Deliver specimens to the Pathology Laboratory

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment
  • Team approach to work
  • Effective planning and prioritization of time
  • Theatre Technician qualification/Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support (HLT) or working towards one
