We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit candidate to join our team as a Parks and Gardens Apprentice.

About the Role

As a member of our Parks and Gardens team, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance in horticulture such as:

  • Mowing
  • Weeding
  • Planting
  • Litter removal
  • Weed Spraying
  • Mulching
  • Pruning
  • Watering
  • Irrigation repairs
  • Participate in relevant training and skill development as required.
  • Co-operate and collaborate with other members of the team as required
  • Undertake the required schooling/TAFE to a satisfactory level to complete the three year apprenticeship
  • Record daily activities in a work journal
  • Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies in the workplace

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Passionate about working outdoors
  • Strong team player
  • Has a can-do attitude
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Consistently reliable and punctual
  • Machinery operating skills are an added advantage, though not required
  • Holder of a driver's licence
