Design Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and supporting systems that have a lasting impact.

About the Role

  • Develop high-quality technical designs, documentation, and scopes aligned with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
  • Manage design reviews and liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Partner with field staff during and after commissioning to refine and improve designs.
  • Contribute to standardized and sustainable design solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in secondary design for high-voltage substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards and solid technical documentation experience.
  • Experience in SCADA and protection systems design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design applications.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secondary systems for major new substations and the refurbishment of existing substations.
  • Develop and maintain technical designs and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve and refine designs through feedback from field staff.
