The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development seeks a highly skilled Geospatial Information Specialist to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for working with geospatial data to support our department's priorities.
As a GIS Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting existing geospatial systems and data. This includes managing and visualizing our data assets, ensuring metadata complies with established standards, and contributing to a positive hybrid team environment.
We encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum 1-2 years' experience working with geospatial data and related software applications, particularly ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and FME.
- The ability to manage and manipulate data assets upholding metadata and data quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to convey insights and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members, and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In return, we offer a competitive salary range of AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, contribute to a dynamic and innovative team, and develop your skills and expertise in the field of geospatial information management.
