Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely delivery and service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee the picking, packing, dispatch, and staging teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure all staff are inducted and compliant with all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Log and resolve all material handling equipment (MHE) issues in a timely manner.
  • Drive the team to meet daily key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff to ensure they are effective and promote a positive culture.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure staff are following procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Process start-of-day and end-of-day operations efficiently and accurately.
  • Timely and accurate reporting to management.
  • Maintain Pet Circle's health and safety standards and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to monitor and improve quality.
  • Ensure the outbound function achieves service and quality elements that optimize the effectiveness of the inbound operations.
  • Coordinate with linehaul providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Lead and motivate the outbound team to achieve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety-focused with general knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and confidence to execute decisions.
  • Can-do attitude, reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic.
  • Forklift license desirable but not essential.
