We are a dynamic and innovative financial services company seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead our data science initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will drive business impact through the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions.

Job Overview

This leadership role involves driving the strategic direction of our data science function, overseeing project delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data science solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Science Strategy and Delivery: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. Lead the design, development, and deployment of data science models, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Tech Stack: Leverage advanced techniques in machine learning, deep learning, and causal inference to drive business insights and optimize performance. Develop production-level code using Python, ensuring scalability and integration with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Communication and Mentorship: Communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the analytics team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Advanced Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of machine learning algorithms, model development, and deployment, with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R) and one database querying language (e.g., SQL). Experience with visualization tools like PowerBI is a plus.
  • Business Acumen: Strong ability to align technical solutions with business strategy, and to communicate complex findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Education: An academic background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, actuarial studies, or similar is required.
  • Experience: Significant, demonstrable experience in data science or analytical roles, with a track record of achievement in data science, analysis, applied statistics, or machine learning.
  • Cloud Environment: Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
