About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at JAM Recruitment Ltd. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the compilation of pre-tender estimates, cost planning, and modelling of design and implementation options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate pre-tender infrastructure estimates, including cost planning and modelling of design options, to support tender compilation.
  • Prepare cost input to monthly reports for clients and project management, including sub-contracts and facilities, in accordance with project procedures.
  • Review cost plans produced by subcontractors and develop them into agreed baseline budgets within the framework of the WBS and in conjunction with relevant project staff.
  • Monitor and report on subcontract costs, man-hours, and future trends/estimates to clients, project, and corporate management, and prepare forecasts of future costs, including subcontractor claim reviews.
Requirements
  • MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent preferred or working towards RICS chartership.
  • Demonstrable quantity surveying experience in a construction environment.
  • NEC3 or NEC4 contracting experience.
