Data Scientist/Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Software Engineer to design, build and scale real-world applications using cutting-edge AI technologies. You will work closely with domain experts, product managers and software engineers to turn ideas into prototypes and deliver production-ready tools that solve meaningful problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify impactful AI use cases that benefit from large language models
  • Understand mining and engineering domain challenges and develop AI solutions to address them
  • Design and build software applications and APIs that leverage large language models
  • Implement prompt engineering strategies and optimisation techniques for specific business tasks
  • Create autonomous agents capable of planning, reasoning and executing complex multi-step tasks
  • Integrate LLM-powered features into new or existing products with strong UX considerations
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to test LLM output quality, relevance and safety
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and contribute to internal best practices and technical strategy
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code

As a successful candidate, you will be a software engineer with a passion for AI and a builder's mindset. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly present ideas, progress and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
