Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Associate

Job Description:

Fleet maintenance is a vital component of our operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the upkeep and repair of our fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring they remain in optimal condition for transportation.

  • Coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
  • Conduct regular inspections to detect potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Work with external vendors and specialized service providers to resolve complex repairs and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities to track vehicle history and optimize future maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to driver requests for equipment service and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of vehicle parts to minimize delays and optimize fleet availability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance coordination, preferably in a leadership or team-based environment.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills to effectively manage personnel and coordinate tasks.
  • A positive attitude, initiative, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex maintenance challenges.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with drivers and other stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail to accurately record maintenance activities and identify potential issues.
