About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Therapy Assistant. This is a permanent part-time opportunity that requires flexibility and enthusiasm.

Location

The role is based in Calista, a suburb surrounded by natural bush land in the heart of Kwinana Hub community.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide mobility and exercise programs to residents under the direction and supervision of the physiotherapist.
- Develop and implement recreational and therapeutic activity programs for residents under the direction of the occupational therapist.
- Participate in the organisation and planning of therapy programs.
- Deliver a range of therapy-based activity programs as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
- Accompany resident groups on outings.

Requirements

- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in a similar role preferred (occupational therapist assistant or physiotherapist assistant).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Empathy with the elderly.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
