Job Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Rehabilitation Counsellor. This role will involve guiding and managing clients' journeys as they return to daily life after a psychological injury.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation and consultation skills, and the ability to establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships. They will also have a strong attention to detail, result-focused approach, and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing complex physical and psychological injury cases, providing health coaching, career coaching, and return-to-work support. You'll perform vocational assessments both in-person and virtually, create employer networks within NSW, and use award-winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve great outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology.
  • Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA.
  • Experience working in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector (desirable but not required).
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and result-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Show initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Well-developed research skills and ability to prepare and organize data for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to follow administration procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Current Australian driver's license and access to own vehicle.
  • Police clearance and Working with Children check.
