Primary Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students with learning difficulties in an inclusive classroom environment.

As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering connections between students and their peers, while ensuring each student receives the support they need to actively participate in school and class.

You'll have the rewarding experience of seeing students achieve milestones they might not have reached on their own, and be part of a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school community.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with disabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with learning difficulties in an inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies for student support
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and support
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom culture
Requirements
  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support (or prepared to study towards one)
  • Passion for supporting students with disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
  • Good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills
