Empower Lives as a Support Specialist

As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live their lives with dignity and independence. You will assist people of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals and aspirations through community participation, positive behavior support, household tasks, and personal care.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and self-motivated professional who thrives on helping others succeed. They will possess an energetic and can-do attitude, reliability, and compassion, with a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, household tasks, and meal preparation
  • Support community participation, including social events and outings
  • Provide positive behavior support to promote independence and well-being
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Completed or willing to complete NDIS mandatory worker orientation module
  • Current Working With Children Check and Police Check for employment
  • First Aid/CPR certificate and ability to perform manual handling requirements of the role
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and basic technology skills
