Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated education professional to join our team as Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of improving teaching, learning and classroom practice.


The role involves working closely with the school leadership team to develop and implement effective strategies for improving student outcomes. The Assistant Principal will also be responsible for leading the development of quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs that cater for the diverse needs of all students.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation of evidence-based practices in teaching and learning;
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with teachers, staff and parents to create a positive school culture;
  • Coaching and mentoring teachers to improve their instructional skills and increase student engagement;
  • Managing resources effectively to support teaching and learning;

Requirements


To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice;
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs;
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams;
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents;
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning;
