Leading Emergency Medicine Expert Wanted

The Emergency Medicine Clinical Director is a crucial position at JPS Medical, overseeing the operations of our emergency departments. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for strategic planning, resource optimization, and guiding our medical teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
This is a fixed-term, full-time contract for three years, with 76 hours worked per fortnight. The compensation package is highly competitive, featuring ongoing annual allowances, initial accommodation support, and relocation assistance.
About the LocationThe hospital serves a population of approximately 116,000 people, operating from two major sites roughly 50 kilometers apart. Our emergency departments handle about 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient demographic. One site functions as the regional trauma center, with an admission rate of 25%, while the other provides sub-acute services with a 15% admission rate.
We have received accreditation from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 24 months of training, with a pending application for year four training.
About the AreaThe location boasts pristine coastline, well-developed infrastructure, and a vibrant shopping district that spills onto the beach. The local countryside is renowned for its produce, offering opportunities to sample award-winning cheese and whisky. Restaurants and delis cater to gourmet tastes.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Hold or be eligible for FACEM
- Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level, ideally with Head of Department/Clinical Director experience
- IMGs who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
