Job Overview

About the Central Queensland Health Service:

The Quality and Safety Unit oversees all facilities within Central Queensland Health. It is a statutory body governed by our Board, serving a population of approximately 250,000 people and employing over 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in relevant work areas.
  • Lead coordination of QSR Business Unit Partners approach to develop, implement, and evaluate quality and safety plans.
  • Collaborate with Director Quality and Safety to coordinate CQHHS-wide activities for successful accreditation outcome.
  • Coordinate clinical accreditation preparedness audit program for specialty clinical areas.
  • Assist Director Quality and Safety in facilitating regular reporting to Executive groups on RCA progress and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Current annual nursing practicing certificate Division one is essential.
