Support Tertiary Student Placement

We offer tertiary students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education at Robogals. During this placement, you will support children's development in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shadowing experienced educators to develop your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
  • Working closely with host supervisors for guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
  • Building respectful and collaborative relationships with early childhood professionals, children, and families within the service.
  • Fostering inclusive, secure, and interactive learning environments through positive interactions with children.
  • Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for children.
  • Supporting the growth and development of children in play-based indoor/outdoor programs.
  • Documenting children's learning and development.
  • Performing activities under supervision, aligned with course requirements to ensure placement outcomes are met.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Currently studying toward a Certificate 3 in Children's Services, Diploma of Children's Services, Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching), or another relevant early childhood qualification.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check.
  • Provide a signed Student Placement Agreement, including insurance documentation.
  • Agree to act in accordance with our Employee Code of Conduct while undertaking placement.

This placement supports completion of mandatory work placement requirements for early childhood qualifications. Experience gained may support future employment opportunities within early years education and local government settings.
