Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Solutions Specialist.

As a self-motivated and resourceful engineer, you will provide technical expertise in cutting-edge satellite connected networking solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, commission, train, and support clients with Viasat's international government engineering solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain hardware component configurations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Provide pre-sales support, demonstrations, and exhibitions to showcase Viasat's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that meet specific client needs.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation and deliver operator and technical training to partners and customers.
  • Participate in the on-call roster for 24/7 engineering support.

Requirements

  • Formal trade qualification or equivalent tertiary industry certification in electrotechnology/telecommunications/IP networking.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IP networking and IT or satellite communications technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to develop and apply configurations to IP networking hardware.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
