About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team at Databricks. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to deliver impactful customer technical projects, providing data engineering, data science, and cloud technology expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement big data and AI solutions for strategic customers, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of industry-leading applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers, ensuring successful adoption and implementation of Databricks.
  • Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to deliver technical components of engagements that meet customer needs.
  • Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback, and guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues.
  • Travel to customers as needed to provide on-site support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Cloud Native, and Data Lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Proficiency in writing code in either Python or Scala.
  • Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines.
  • Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Ability to build skills in technical areas that support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
