Retail Engagement Specialist Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic part-time Retail Engagement Specialist to drive retailer adoption and shopper usage of digital programs. As a trusted adviser and business partner to retailers, you will be responsible for educating them on the benefits of these programs to their business.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieving retailer adoption of digital programs
  2. Educating retailers on the benefits of these programs to their business
  3. Growing and retaining shoppers to the programs
  4. Increasing usage with shoppers

This role has a direct reporting line into the Implementation Manager.


What You Will DoBuild Relationships & Support Retailers
  • Build and develop relationships with retailers, working with Area Sales Managers as the expert go-to point of contact in the team for digital marketing expertise.
  • Work with the Onboarding team to build pipeline and support retailer implementation of rewards and shop online programs.
Development of State Digital Strategy
  • Develop innovative digital-based offers to increase store-based offers for consumers.
  • Create additional income streams for buyers by selling digital packages for mainstream events.
Create, Implement, and Liaise with State Area Managers
  • Develop strategies for State Area Managers to implement to enhance digital efficiency amongst retailers.
  • Support communications between State Area Managers and retailers.
Create Digital Educational Support and Interactions
  • Provide simple-to-use programs and offers.
  • Update the digital environment as changes occur.

RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in digital platforms, loyalty marketing, or e-commerce backgrounds.
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably in the retail supermarket sector.
  • Ability to convince, persuade, and close deals.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, managing, and optimising performance in various digital channels.
  • Ability to create insights from data to inform retail marketing and operations decision-making.
