Job Title: Chief Risk and Security ProfessionalA key leadership role is available within our customer experience team. As the Chief Risk and Security Professional, you will step into a pivotal position where your impact will be felt daily.You will lead the security and risk function for the centre, safeguarding the wellbeing of employees, contractors, retailers, and customers. This is not just about operational oversight – it's about creating a safe, welcoming environment where people feel confident and secure.You will be the go-to expert, working closely with stakeholders across the centre, driving proactive risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring we are always a step ahead.Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting proactive management, reporting, and response to hazard identification, incidents, emergencies, near misses, and claims across the Centre and region.
  • Supporting service delivery agreements/contracts to ensure performance feedback is provided to contract managers for input into performance reviews and any remedial actions for contract staff.
  • Providing day-to-day coaching to contracted staff in line with WHS legislation and obligations.
  • Adhering to safety audit and inspection program requirements within Centre and supporting compliance within the Region.
  • Fostering constructive working relationships with internal and external partners including customers, retailers, and contractors, Senior Police, Workplace Regulators, Emergency Services, and other stakeholders.
As part of our asset team, you will also have Duty Management responsibilities from time to time, where you will be required to work a weekend shift (on a roster), balanced with a day off in lieu.This is a Full-Time permanent opportunity based onsite at Westfield Hurstville.Requirements:We seek an individual with a strong background in security, exposure to risk management strategies, and a passion for retail property. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Qualification or related experience in Work Health and Safety.
  • A strong background in risk and/or security management in retail property, hospitality, entertainment, leisure, or services organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training programs.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems.
