Job Title:
Mechanical Fitter Leading Hand

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter Leading Hand to join our team at a large, complex project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing preservation procedures for static and rotating equipment, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining preservation logs.

  • Implement preservation procedures for static and rotating equipment, including vessels, tanks, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and air coolers.

  • Implement preservation procedures for E&I equipment, including electrical systems, instrumentation, motors, substations, HVAC, RIEs, and battery rooms.

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain preservation logs.

  • Apply protective coatings, inerting, flushing, and sealing as needed.

  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Construction White/Blue Card

  • Technical knowledge or relevant certification

  • Experience in LNG, petrochemical, or oil & gas industries preferred

  • Strong knowledge of equipment preservation techniques and industry standards

  • Ability to work in a high-safety, fast-paced environment

  • Working at Height, EWP, Confined Space, Gas test Atmospheres

  • Current Driver's License

  • Full Working Rights in Australia
