About the Role

This is an exciting new opportunity available for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join a global consultancy, working with a leading steelworks company on their blast furnace refurbishment project.

  • Deliver electrical and instrumentation engineering for assigned package areas for the project, ensuring engineering completion and adherence to project scope and budget
  • Oversee design processes, including low-voltage distribution, drives, control systems and integration across disciplines
  • Coordinate technical specifications, tendering, procurement and contract administration within assigned packages
  • Manage cost control, planning, and reporting for assigned work packages, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide design and technical support to construction and commissioning teams, ensuring smooth execution and completion.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and maintain effective communication to resolve engineering issues and ensure project success.
  • Lead and manage junior engineers, draftspersons, and contractors throughout project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, driving safety and quality in all engineering outputs.
  • Prepare electrical and instrumentation designs adhering to both client specifications and Australian Standards
