About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fitter General to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workshop repairs and maintenance
  • New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Safety / Quality
  • Cross-functional support
Main Responsibilities:

The Fitter General will be responsible for:

  • Fault finding, repairs, and services including but not limited to:
  • Diesel and petrol engines
  • Diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems
  • Steering systems
  • Transmissions – hydrostatic, Powershift, and manual
  • Brake systems
  • Hydraulic valves and cylinders
  • Electrical starting, charging, and accessories
  • Service and diagnostic repairs
  • Liaise with the spare parts team to determine the parts required for repairs
  • Complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
  • Process workshop service/repair documentation daily
  • Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with the requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
Requirements:

  • Solid analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
