About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Gymnastics Coach to join our team at YMCA Brisbane. As an Assistant Coach, you will work under the supervision of a qualified gymnastics coach to develop your skills and knowledge in coaching classes independently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the setup and commencement of gymnastics classes
  • Ensuring the safety of athletes during classes, including spotting and observing their performance
  • Choreographing routines and selecting music for floor exercises
  • Completing administrative tasks, such as checking matting and ensuring all activities have adequate safety measures in place

We are looking for someone who is passionate about gymnastics and has a strong desire to share their knowledge and skills with others. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow, we encourage you to apply.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice experience in all aspects of gymnastics
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
  • Positive Notice Blue Card, or a willingness to obtain
  • Be working towards your Beginners Gymnastics Accreditation or be willing to undertake your accreditation through YMCA Brisbane
