NDIS Caregiver Role

This position offers a chance to provide meaningful support and assistance to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Offer care services in accordance with the NDIS plans of clients.
  2. Provide help with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  3. Offer transportation assistance to clients.
  4. Provide respite care for both the client and their family members.
  5. Keep accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members.
  7. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations to protect clients' well-being.
  8. Meet regularly with clients and their families to discuss and adjust their NDIS plans.
  9. Conduct training sessions and provide educational resources on navigating the NDIS system.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest best practices in the field.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of high school education or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Desirable: previous experience working with dementia clients.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and its guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions.
  • Experience using CRM software and NDIS portals.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
  • Capacity to work with diverse clients, considering their varied abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
