Corrosion Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field audits, pipeline surveys, routine testing, installation, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field audits and pipeline surveys to identify areas requiring corrosion prevention measures.
  • Perform routine testing, installation, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.
  • Commission cathodic protection systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cathodic protection systems and implement necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and submit detailed reports.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or equivalent working rights in Australia.
  • Previous experience in cathodic protection, corrosion control, or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
  • Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
