Key Operations Role

This is a strategic and hands-on position ideal for someone who excels at both planning and execution.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our museum, studio, and sculpture garden.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading administrative functions: manage staff, supervise volunteers, and align activities with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Developing and delivering programs: co-plan and deliver a diverse calendar of public and education programs, from workshops and talks to digital resources.
  • Building partnerships: establish and maintain strong relationships with schools, community groups, and other organizations to expand our reach and engagement.
  • Contribution to strategy: contribute to strategic planning, identify funding opportunities, and help build the organization's profile within the arts and education sectors.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in education, museum studies, art history, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating education and public programs in a cultural setting.
  • Experience managing staff, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficiency with digital platforms (e.g., WordPress, MailChimp, Eventbrite).
