National Clinical Professional

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our national service supporting veterans and their families.
This role sits within a 24/7 telephone-based clinical service, providing intake, triage, risk assessment, immediate support, and referrals to specialist teams across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct intake, triage, risk assessments, and brief interventions via phone.
- Provide immediate clinical support and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain accurate client records and risk management plans.
- Follow clinical practice policies, ethical guidelines, and legislation.
- Engage in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
As a clinician, you will provide trauma-informed care and brief interventions in a dynamic environment.
You will also contribute to care coordination, liaising with family members, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to ensure clients receive timely support.
This is a contract role at the APS6 level, with hybrid working arrangements available. Shifts are rostered across 24 hours, 7 days a week.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, social work).
- Extensive experience in mental health clinical practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and clinical practice policies.
