Job Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Ultrasonic Testing Specialist to conduct non-destructive testing and evaluations on structural steel and piping.

This is an ideal opportunity for seasoned professionals ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities in the field of non-destructive testing and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced non-destructive tests and evaluations on various construction materials and structures, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to detect defects and irregularities.
  • Collaborate with our skilled engineering team to accurately interpret and report findings while ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and manage testing assignments, maintain testing equipment, and conduct fieldwork, which includes safely climbing steel structures such as buildings, cell phone towers, and water tanks up to heights exceeding 200 feet.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate's degree
  • Experience in shear wave and compression wave ultrasonic testing
  • ASNT Level II certification per ASNT-SNT-TC-1A in at least one method
  • Safety, DDC, NDT, and Radiation Training
  • Experience in the use of fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems
  • Additional certifications (ICC certification in Building Inspections and/or Structural Steel Inspection, Level II for PT, MT certifications) are a plus

About You:

  • Ability to perform physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb heights over 200 feet
  • Ability to walk over rough, uneven terrain and stand for potentially up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to lift and carry 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
