Job Overview

The role of a Nurse Care Specialist in Child and Family Health involves working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-centered, safe, and effective care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, preventive care, and early identification and intervention for children aged 0–5 years and their families.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care that supports family-centered practice.
  • Deliver evidence-based care that is consistent with Primary Health Care principles, prioritizing the needs and preferences of each child and family.
  • Contribute to health promotion, education, and community development within the CFHN service, fostering partnerships and coalitions to enhance the well-being of children and families.
Key Qualifications
  • A recognized qualification in nursing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in providing high-quality, client-centered care to children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes for children and families.
