As a leader in our organization, you will be responsible for strategic security architecture. This involves building and maintaining high-level holistic versions of domain architecture strategy and multi-year roadmaps/target states. You will lead teams of architects, develop and maintain domain-specific capability frameworks/feature functions/business taxonomy reference architectures, and support the development of security requirements for business units/domains to ensure security outcomes are prioritized.The role and day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and maintaining high-level holistic versions of domain architecture strategy and multi-year roadmaps/target states.
  • Leading teams of architects.
  • Developing and maintaining domain-specific capability frameworks/feature functions/business taxonomy reference architectures.
  • Supporting the development of security requirements for business units/domains to ensure security outcomes are prioritized.
  • Representing an enterprise-wide perspective on re-use and optimization of security choices.
  • Collaborating with cross-domain business/tech/arch stakeholders to navigate trade-offs between achieving business value versus adhering to architectural guardrails and our risk and regulatory obligations.
  • Influencing tech debt reduction and legacy decommissioning to reduce security impacts and elevated business threats.
  • Understanding and communicating strategic themes and other key business drivers for security to various stakeholders.
  • Driving security architectural decisions via governance forums.
  • Participating in progressive elaboration/planning days and understanding the business's future needs and proactively shaping security investment.
  • Ensuring security patterns are utilized consistently and deviations are minimized.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in the technology industry.
  • 5+ years of security architecture experience with developing or running agile practices in large organizations with regulatory and legacy constraints.
  • 3+ years of risk management experience.
  • Architecture or technology-related certifications/cloud will be an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and engagement skills to influence business strategy to help shape, triage, prioritize business outcomes, and develop roadmaps for business units/domains.
  • Ability to lead and maintain a backlog of business outcomes portfolio view of the business domain.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile structure to coordinate work to a persistent team of solution architects.
  • Proven experience in strong business engagement, influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex topics with fact-based analysis.
  • Understanding the trade-offs involved in technology change while simultaneously delivering business benefit requires commercial acumen, business alignment, and the ability to negotiate.
