Art Director

At AKQA, we're looking for a talented Art Director to join our team. As a creative thinker, you'll be responsible for bringing your perspective to create and build on ideas and produce outstanding work.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of creative, artistic, and cultural trends and use them in a manner relevant to the brief, the brand, and its users.
- Generate original, fresh, and innovative ideas in partnership with a Copywriter to develop and execute creative ideas that meet the client brief and exceed expectations.
- Direct all aspects of art on a brand, taking into account the brand and its users, and exploit opportunities for high creative output.
- Develop and execute ideas across communication channels, formats, and multiple touch points, ensuring visual consistency, quality, freshness, and alignment.
- Work jointly with a Copywriter to ensure correct briefing of production companies, directors, and other partners to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Direct and supervise suppliers and internal studio on all print and production work and take responsibility with a Copywriter for the quality of finished work across mediums.
- Participate and collaborate with Account teams on new business pitches and strengthen client relationships by attending client meetings as required, with a view to increase sales and brand building.
- Contribute to thought leadership and inspire professional development within the team.
- At least 3 years of experience.
- A portfolio of creative work that showcases outstanding campaigns and projects of varying nature.
- Abreast with the latest advertising and creative trends, techniques, and new developments.
- Commercial skills to understand client business and industry contexts.
- Strong presentation and objection handling skills.
