About the Role:
The Inventory Management Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of stock levels, accurate inventory reporting, and effective supply chain operations. This position will be responsible for driving scheduled cycle counts, interpreting data and reports, and implementing a continuous improvement mentality to reduce shrinkage loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive scheduled cycle counts to make informed decisions on stock adjustments and identify out-of-stock SKUs.
- Utilize and interpret data and reports to support operational duties and reduce shrinkage loss.
- Consistently monitor and investigate negative stock levels and follow up with the store team as necessary.
- Implement a continuous improvement mentality through coaching and working in partnership with the Senior Management team, Supply Chain, and Planning team to ensure business and operational results are achieved.
- Serve as the point of contact for distribution and organization of stock levels to make confident stock decisions.
- Train and educate the wider team on shrinkage and back-of-house policies and procedures.
- Process and replenish the arrival of stock, manage returns in a timely manner, and liaise with external stakeholders for stock pick-up.
Requirements:
- Previous retail stock management experience across areas of cycle counts, product launches, visual merchandising, people management, managing profit & loss of stock levels, and sales forecasting.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint & SAP, to interpret and input data for daily reporting.
- Suitable level of physical fitness to lift and shift boxes that can weigh up to 15kg.
- Drive for results with a history of exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Passion for excellent client service and experiential retail by tracking stock levels to ensure the store represents the Sephora brand.
- Passion to maintain a strong and positive culture where everyone is valued, recognized, and enabled to succeed through feedback and career development, coaching, learning, and recognition.
