We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic to join our team at Maas Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance and servicing of heavy equipment and vehicles
- Participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Develop a strong understanding of Maas Group's WHS policies and procedures
- Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times on site
- Follow instructions from workshop managers and mechanics
- Assist with fault diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment and vehicles
- Complete all TAFE assessments and assignments on time
- Attend TAFE as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment
- Identify and report hazards through active participation in risk assessments
- Participate in daily pre-start meetings
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of heavy vehicle mechanics and maintenance
- Ability to work safely and follow WHS procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
