Security Monitor

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Security Monitor to join our team. As a Security Monitor, you will be responsible for maintaining security within restricted and unclassified areas of the facility. This includes overseeing personnel movements, safeguarding sensitive information, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring compliance with security protocols and emergency procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Vigilance: Monitor and control access to sensitive areas, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, maintaining control of uncleared personnel and enforcing relevant evacuation, lockdown, and security procedures.
- Incident Reporting: Accurately document security incidents, infractions, and self-reports.
- Communication: Clearly communicate security processes to site and uncleared personnel, using handheld radio systems effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum Essential: Completion of Year 12, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle, 1 year of work experience, and strong adherence to safety procedures.
- Desirable: Previous security experience, experience with handheld radio communications, and additional licenses such as Working at Heights or Elevated Work Platform.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions (near 0°C to over 40°C).
- Physical activities including walking, sitting, handling equipment, climbing, and occasional standing.
- Vision and hearing abilities required for the role.
- Work environment includes exposure to mechanical parts, heights, outdoor conditions, and loud noise levels.

- Drug and Alcohol Test: Screening to uphold Amentum's zero-tolerance policy on substance abuse.
Citizenship Requirements: Applicants must meet specific citizenship criteria:
Australian Citizens: Must be Australian citizens.
USA Citizens: Alternatively, applicants must be USA citizens eligible to obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance specific to each role.
These requirements are essential because successful candidates will need to obtain a security clearance as part of their employment at Amentum.
