About Our Opportunity

Suncorp Bank, a proud part of the ANZ Group, is seeking a skilled Senior Analyst to join our Business Banking Products team. As part of this role, you will play a key part in driving data-driven decision making by combining advanced analytical skills with thought leadership to enhance performance for our target market.

This exciting opportunity is both analytical and strategic in nature, requiring the ability to collate, analyze, and interpret data sets on the Business Lending portfolio to assess performance, risks, and opportunities. You will be responsible for creating and managing core portfolio performance dashboards, enabling the Business Banking Leadership Team to track alignment with strategic goals and change implementation progress.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define and monitor key success measures and prepare data visualizations and reports for senior executives and bank risk committees.
  • Actively manage portfolio risk indicators to ensure compliance with Suncorp Bank Risk Appetite settings and limits, Policies and Standards.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Product, Pricing, Distributions, Credit Risk, Operations and Tribe) to generate solutions for optimal results in strategic initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in performance analytics, analyzing complex and diverse data to improve commercial performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to generate recommendations from various data sets and build narratives that drives business growth.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and dealing with large data sets. Superior attention to details. Experience in SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI are valuable but not essential.
  • Solid exposure to banking environment coupled with an analytical and curious mindset.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in business, commerce, economics or finance.
