About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our E-Research and Advisory team at Griffith University. As the Head of E-Research and Innovation, you will play a critical role in enabling the University's research and innovation strategy by improving research capability, quality, and impact through the optimal use of enterprise and cloud ICT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of specialists to provide strategic technology advice and training, deliver platforms of strategic benefit, and enhance products and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and manage e-Research services to the University research community, including the development of research data management practices and maturity across the institution.
  • Provide strategic advice to the university in the areas of e-Research infrastructure and initiatives, and manage a portfolio of projects of national significance.
  • Collaborate with other Heads and Product Managers across Digital Solutions to improve our products, frameworks, methods, and tools.
  • Connect researchers across discipline boundaries to enhance collaboration and research outcomes.
About You

We are looking for a collaborative leader who can guide and coach a team of specialists to further develop capability and expertise in requirements gathering and analysis, project management, solution design, innovative problem solving, and strategic thinking.

You will possess broad specialist knowledge across the range of research disciplines and the ability to quickly understand and solve complex problems. A commitment to continuous improvement is essential, and you will take a proactive approach to researching emerging trends and practices.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, as well as the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders. All applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights and may be subject to a national criminal history check.
