Marine and Defence Painting Opportunity

We are seeking skilled Industrial Painters to work on a unique project at Garden Island Sydney. This is an excellent chance to contribute to major Marine and Defence projects while gaining valuable experience in blasting and coating services.

  • This role requires the successful candidates to join a high-performing team, working on marine vessels, tank reef areas, structural steel, and other commercial assets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface preparation using water blasting, sandblasting, mechanical tools, and needleguns
  • Working on repair and maintenance tasks including climbing in and around pipes, underneath deck plates, and confined spaces
  • Applying coatings via spray, brush, and roller
  • Delivering high-quality results on tank reef structures and complex marine environments
  • Meeting project specs and quality standards
Requirements:
  • Federal Police Check
  • White Card
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial painting - Marine painting, Steel/Metal painting and blasting experience is highly advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Police Clearance
  • DCAC (Defence Common Access Card)
  • White Card

  • EWP Licence
