About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our dynamic and successful team at Glencore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the creation of Drill & Blast designs and schedules for our open cut coal mine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Drill & Blast designs and schedules for Operations
- Work closely with the Drill & Blast and Truck & Shovel Production teams to execute plans
- Collaborate with the Senior Drill & Blast Engineer to ensure effective planning and execution
- Provide technical expertise and support to the operations team
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field)
- Minimum of two years' relevant experience in coal mining operations
- Proficiency in Mine Design and Scheduling packages (such as Vulcan (Blast Logic), Deswik, Spry or similar)
- Highly organized, solutions-focused professional with excellent communication skills
