Restoring Communication

Precision neuroscience seeks talented professionals to pioneer innovative brain implants. These revolutionary devices will empower individuals with neurological conditions, restoring independence and communication through brain-computer interfaces.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to transforming lives by developing cutting-edge technologies that enable people with paralysis to control digital devices with their thoughts alone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop real-time machine learning systems to interpret complex neural data.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate expertise in machine learning, signal processing, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering.
  • Address intricate technical challenges at the intersection of neuroscience and computing, including real-time neural signal processing and user-friendly interfaces for patients.

Technical Expertise
  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning
  • RNNs, LSTMs, CNNs, compression, and optimization for real-time inference
  • Signal Processing & Decoding
  • Spike sorting, LFP, EcoG feature extraction
  • Denoising, filtering, spectral analysis, ICA/PCA
  • Real-Time Systems & Infrastructure
  • Low-latency inference pipelines for neural decoding
  • Edge deployment and streaming architecture experience
  • Programming & Tools
  • Python (PyTorch, Tensorflow, NumPy, scikit-learn)
  • Kubeflow, MLFlow, Airflow
  • Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • AWS (Sagemaker Studio, Kinesis, S3, EC2, Lambda, Cloudwatch, EMR, Elastic)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Track record of developing novel algorithms evidenced by strong publication records in major AI conferences and ideally granted patents.
  • Hands-on experience developing real-time machine learning algorithms leveraging high-volume data, especially image, video, and/or audio data in embedded real-time systems.
  • Experiment Design: design experimental protocols to gather training data. Collaborate with software engineers to implement these protocols. Collaborate closely with clinical teams to execute these protocols.
  • Proven experience shipping ML-powered products in production, especially in high-stakes or real-time environments.
  • Delivered end-to-end systems— from signal acquisition to live neural decoding—in clinical or research settings.
  • Built robust, testable, and maintainable ML pipelines integrating with hardware, firmware, and front-end interfaces.
  • Contributed to cross-functional product development, working closely with software, hardware, clinical, and UX teams.
  • Familiar with FDA, HIPAA regulatory, and performance constraints for deployable neurotech or medical devices.
